I took a look at these boats in person because I wanted to see for myself if they were tough enough to handle a little rough housing on a river. I was impressed by the thickness of the PVC material, the strength of the welds and the beefy nature of the oar locks and valves. I also liked the reinforced bumper mid-pontoon. It's a feature I haven't seen on many inflatable rafts and it provides plenty of extra protection from banging up against a dock, rocks, or other boats. I also noticed that the bottom of the pontoons had an extra layer of PVC welded to the main surface. This is just what you need to protect the actual inflated chambers from the kind of scuffing, scratching, and abrasion a raft like this endures as it safely floats you down a river! You can drag this thing up on shore, over rocks and gravel, and not have to worry about it going flat as a pancake!

And let's talk features. The Intex SeaHawk II kit seats four people and comes complete with oars, an inflation pump, gear pouch, and battery pouch. It features two air chambers for safety, all-around grab rope, grab handles on both ends, two fishing rod holders, inflatable floor for comfort and rigidity, welded rotational oar locks, and U.S. Coast Guard I.D.

The Seahawk II has two Boston valves on the main hull chamber for quick-fill and fast deflation. The SUPER-TOUGH construction is triple strong, made with 3 separate layers of material for extra strength and durability- two outer layers of heavy-gauge PVC laminated to an inner layer of polyester mesh for extra reinforcement.
